Life...

Well, finally I am updating the blog a bit. I have neglected this site b/c I have found a new site that I am addicted to.... Facebook! Plus it is WAY easier to put pictures on etc. I am still fighting with this dumb thing about pictures and the narrative that I write, it never comes out the way I planned. AARRGHH!
In just 2 more sleeps, the kids and I are headed to Canada for Fall Break. We are soooo looking forward to it, and are going because it is my Grandma's 90th birthday. We are having a big party with all the cousins and aunts, uncles, and others...it will be great fun. We have such a great time when we are up there. So look back in a couple weeks, maybe I will download some Canada pics then.

Look at the babe on the beach! We were in Destin, Florida over Labor day and had the BEST time...with the exception of the Hurricane Gustav excitement. We actually had to leave a day early because the bad weather was headed in. But we enjoyed it while it lasted. Beautiful blue water and perfect white sand....perfection.

My "Bi-Annual" Blog Posting! (More Laurens Birthday)

Here are some more pics. We actually had a birthday marathon this year. Not intentionally though. It started the Saturday before her birthday, Granny and Papa came to take her shopping. We went lunching at Red Robin and then she went shopping at Limited Too w/ Granny. Then on her actual birthday our tradition is the Birthday person gets to pick where they would like to eat. We went to good ole' Chuck E. Cheese. Which is fun for the kids. Then, the Friday after her actual birthday was the sleepover w/ her best friends. Then Saturday came her birthday party at "Steve's Fantastic Fun Zone". Needless to say, I am quite glad the birthday marathon is OVER.

Lauren's 8th Birthday!

Here is Lauren's birthday cake... a "sleepover cake", and let me just say how proud I am of this cake! I got it off Family Fun and it just turned out too cute!
