Nashville Shores

Sydney and Rowan enjoying a nice refreshing Icee

Look at these bathing beauties!! Teri and Doug will love me for this one!

There is some serious Icee slurping going on here, Carson, Syd, and Row

Connor and Mattie "killin' it " at Kayaking! They were awesome!

And as always, a nice photo op to end the day! Lauren and Connor

This past weekend we made a pilgrimage to Nashville Shores, a terrific water park, thanks to our wonderful Pepsi connection, Doug Callahan!! Thanks Doug! We had a great time after the parking lot "incident"!! The kids thought it was the "best day ever!!"

Miss Tennessee!

At the "Back to School Bash" Lauren had the privilege of meeting the current Miss Tennessee, Grace Gore. (Wonder if she is related to Al and Tipper?) She was very gracious, very beautiful and very tall!! The unfortunate thing was that she didn't have her crown on when we had our photo op! Too bad, because you all know how Lauren is all about the crown!!

Farming, Canada Style

Step one, swathing the hay field...

Step 2, baling the hay...

(Step 2b. a bale being finished!)

Step 3. Wrapping the bales in plastic wrap which turns the bale to silage which will feed the cattle in the winter. Isn't this interesting?

Step 4. Finished product! All that remains to be done is hauling bales and let the snow fly!! Just kidding, much more ranching and farming needs to be done before the snow's all0wed to fly!

This is what my kids LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be a part of when we go home to Canada. My nephews both are born ranchers/farmers. This is what Hayden lives for! Amazingly all of that equipment is my dad's and it was all running at the same time in one field!

The "Great White North" ...Our Canada Trip!

Look at these cutie pies!

Rowie and her cousin and archenemy, Grayson!

Connor and Great Grandma Schetzsle, my paternal Grandma.

Gramps (my dad) with my cutie nephew, Grayson, farmer extraordinaire!

Ok everyone, believe it or not....I am blogging!! Yippee! I will have to make some retroactive entries to catch up! Right after the 4th of July, the kids and I loaded up and made a 2300 mile trip to Grampa and Gramma's in Veteran, Alberta, Canada! A great place to visit! Not much to do unless you enjoy family and farming, but we love it.
