Father Daughter Dance

We attended our first ever Father Daughter dance for Girl Scouts this past Saturday night! We got Lauren dressed up in her finest and Kurt spiffed himself up for the occasion. Retired his scrubs for the night, and boy did he look hot. I haven't seen him look like this for a long time! Lauren looked beautiful as usual, she is just a doll! (I am allowed to talk like that, I am her mom!) It was very sweet, but Lauren was very nervous! I am not sure about what, but I think she thought she and Kurt were supposed to have a dance routine put together (like Dancing with the Stars!). I am sorry but I cannot figure out how to flip that picture. I flipped it on the camera and saved it, but it never comes out flipped on the computer! My computer skills are basic remember!!!

Finally, the Easter pics...

Okay, here's a cute little Easter shot of Rowan and her Daddy jumping on the trampoline! And here is the fun shot of our Easter "family" dinner! We had so much fun with Teri and Doug and their family. We were just cracking up taking this picture. If Pepsi doesn't work out for Doug maybe he should take up photography...he sure knows how to make us laugh! Poor Rowie was just distraught by all our laughter! Makes me chuckle just to remember it!

Easter Sunday...

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We did our eggs on Saturday, then Sunday we woke up early and the kids looked at their Easter buckets. Loving that for sure... but were more excited about the egg hunt! Much to their dismay, they had to wait till after church. We went to our church service, which was held at MTSU (the university here). We attend a big church here, and it is soooo rockin'! We LOVE it, anyway, they put on a big extravaganza to celebrate the miracle of Easter. There was probably 11,ooo people there! We had Lonestar (the country group) as the special musical guest. It was great, very moving and a spiritual service. Granny came with us, then home for the egg hunt! Candy overload! That of course was the highlight for the kids, forget church!
Then we whipped up a nice Easter meal, ham, hashbrown casserole, salad, rolls, and carrot cake. YUM YUM! Our terrific friends, the Callahan's came over to round out the festivities, and BOY did we have a good time!!! We laughed so hard, and talked about the craziest stuff! What a great day! Gotta go to cheer with Lauren, will post pics later!

Easter Time!

Here is the Ashbaugh crew doing their yearly egg decorating. Aren't they a cute bunch? Kurt was even involved this year, and he, of course, made it a decorating COMPETITION!!! Funny thing is, I think he actually won! He produced some good looking eggs! Although I , at the last moment whipped out some glitter and glue and so in Lauren's eyes, mom was the winner!

Spring has sprung in Tennessee!

Here is a shot of our gorgeous backyard...spring here is just the best, everything is flowering, and Kurt's efforts on our grass has really paid off. The bad thing is he had to mow it 3 times this past week alone!!!! A week ago those trees were completely full of white flowers, and we have a beautiful apple tree in the front yard in full bloom too!
To go along with the spring theme, here is a shot of the steak I grilled up the other night!!! Kurt was sooooo mad at me!!! I am not the best griller to say the least, and us Schetzsle's are known for liking our meat WELL done!!!!
